    a new world

    Sitting daintily

    Watching quizzically.

    A pause, a flinch, a shudder

An eye dart and then a jump.

Over the wall into a whole new Eden

    New scents, new friends

    New foes, new tastes

    All a single jump away.

    How is life so easy

    That with one leap

She can enter a whole new world?

    A single bound.

Not a leap of faith but

    Simply a set of muscles

    And a thought

Is all it takes to enter

    Into a whole new world.
